The cleaning of azaleas

It 's certainly the period of azaleas. a specimen in this photo of her in full bloom.

But unfortunately, the bloom does not last long. Within a week the flowers begin to fade and it's time to intervene.

The first thing to do is remove all the flowers .... a real shame! but you need a job!

The plant does not even look the same. The growths of the year have made it too close and smooth the hair.

Before taking the scissors in hand we must remove all the pistils!

It 's very important to remove it completely from the ground up.

Now begins the work of pruning. We remove all the branches growing on the trunk and new shoots grow at the base of the flower.

even after removing these branches, the vision of the plant will already be simpler. At this point deeper into the pruning within each stage eliminating the unnecessary branches, namely those that grow inward or bifurcations. And finally, we redefine the profiles of the boxes.

Simultaneously with the pruning is also possible to put the wire in order to correct the growth of some branches.

Here is the result after the trimmed and the lowering of the first branch.
